Degree: Associate in Applied Science
Plan 25HB

This program prepares students for entry- and middle-level positions in agencies and programs specialized in helping people. This includes organizations with programs for children, adolescents, and adults provided through hospitals, nursing homes, institutions for people with developmental disabilities, community human services programs, as well as treatment programs for addiction and substance use disorders. The degree-seeking student completes general education and Human Services core courses, plus courses specific to working with children and adolescents. All students are encouraged to consult with department faculty. Human Services courses may transfer to four-year institutions with related programs.

To complete an A.A.S., students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Success Advisor to identify coursework that will meet degree requirements.
