Course Description
This course is an historical survey of the West from the Reformation and rise of absolutist monarchies through the French Revolution, Age of Industrialization, the 20th century ideological conflicts and wars, and the modern global age. Emphasis is placed on the political, economic, social, cultural, and intellectual forces that shaped the development and direction of Western Civilization.
